The hands were repainted due to the flaking\/loss of original paint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIt is used with the original finish. There is minor wear\/loss on the finish as expected from an antique but shows nicely (please review the pics). I've also cleaned the glass crystal and I've cleaned and oiled the movement. The clock runs accurately and silently.
