Makes a great display piece or decor item for home or office.

Thick, sculptured, full leather covers with richly detailed, some of the gilt is worn but still shows nicely as seen in the pictures, embossed pictorial decoration and lettering, heavily beveled boards. Worn gilt edges all around and wear on the edges. There are NO clasps. Lots of illustrations in Black and White and a few color pictures as seen in the pictures.

THERE are blank Presentation Cover, Marriage, Deaths and Births pages. There are NO pocket pages for photos in this edition.

Contains Old and New Testaments along with other works like History of the Books of the Old and New Testaments illustrations, along with various indexes, tables, lists, concordance.

Size = approx. 13"x 11" x 4"

Condition: Very Good condition after rework: Some leather has worn, brittle areas and wear. This item is over 125 years old. Suitable for reading but a touch of browning and soiling on the old paper (not too brittle. interior pages remain in very good shape) - Review pictures for more details.

Some of the interior pages contain a bit of foxing/loss issues and water staining but very good paper condition overall. The spine leather is worn from years of neglect with wear on top and bottom of spine. However, it is not brittle or flaking off after conditioning with leather oil. Several minor spots where leather worn away on corners of the covers and along spine (see pics)

Work Completed: As seen in some of the pictures, I reinforced and re-stitched together some of the signatures. Overall the interior pages are tight and in very good condition.

Leather - I've conditioned the leather using leather cleaner and Neatsfoot Oil. End papers are original. Also, I used a archival black strip to cover work along insides of the spine.

I've used archival tape to fix any large tears (minimal). Original headbands and endpapers kept. All work is done using archival quality neutral ph adhesives, cotton or archival tape. Leather additions are 100% leather and resourced from worn out old coats.
