Working Vintage Telechron Model 355 The Cathedral Bakelite Clock. ca 1931

Original Ad: "Made of the famous Bakelite in a rich walnut color. Is 5 1/2 inches wide, 7 1/4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches deep. The 3 inch dial is finished in silver. The Cathedral model withstands changes in temperature and moisture; retains its high lustre, will not scratch easily and requires no polishing."

The 355 was Telechron's first star. This the was most imitated Telechron ever; every electric clock company who was anybody had a cathedral-design. This is one of the early ones with a bronze back, a cord grommet and brass lugs for the rear screws fitted to the case. Includes the hard to find original bakelite plug into the back of the clock.

Condition is good to very good. Clock runs quietly with a slight hum, functions well and keeps good time. I've lightly oiled the internal parts. The case shows only a bit of wear (on top as seen in pics), with a couple of scratches.
