Vintage General Electric Mantle Clock: Retro 1930s Wood Case, Quartz Movement

Get the best of both worlds with this very hard to find design and wonderful wood finish. A Hard to find vintage General Electric Strike mantle clock, circa late 1930's. The classic mantle clock with a fantastic wood case (see pics). Clock face has cream star pattern design in the metal dial with deco style numerals. Comes with gold hour and minute hands. Measures about 18 inches wide, 8 inches high, and 4 inches deep. Has felt lined bottom pads. Round convex glass over dial. This is a renewed clock inside (replaced worn out mechanical movement) with a good quality quartz battery movement and chime ability. No need to wind every 8 days or plug into electrical wall plug.

Clock case is in very good vintage condition with nice details. The case shows some age and wear from over the years with some scuffs and nicks (please see pictures).

Movement runs quietly, functions well and keeps good time so you get the vintage, antique style with a new battery movement. Hands and movement are not original to the clock but a close replica. No second hand. Uses a "AA" battery, included in sale. Chime can be turned off but not placing in batteries (separate function). You do need to remove the back cover to change batteries and adjust the hands.

This is a chime clock which does not sound like the original mechanical movement. Sold in As-is working condition.
