Rare from the 1950. A Vintage Kalex "World" Clock made by the Kalex Corporation, New York, New York. It has the date 1950 on the back as well as pat pending so it's one of the first year's sold. The patent did not come out until the next year.
This beautiful timepiece is "leather-bound" in reddish leather embossed with gold. This desk top model has a wedge shaped base that tilts the clock face toward you. It is a "World" clock and the outer dial rotates with the clock dial and indicates the time anywhere in the world in relation to where you are.
Condition is very good. Clock runs quietly, functions well and keeps good time. The original leather case shows some age and wear, with some scuffs and nicks. You can see in the pics that it's personalized with a name so probably a gift or work anniversary event.
Shipping is free and will come in a well padded box. Due to the age of the clock and movement inside, I can't offer a warranty.
