Working 1960s Lausanne Chronograph Men's Watch Venus 188 Swiss 17 Jewel Movement Cream Dial

This rare 1960s chronograph from Paul Maillardet & Fils, a watch manufacturer based in Morteau, France. Lausanne was a trade name used by the company. This timepiece features a 17-jewel Swiss Venus 188 chronograph movement with mechanical manual-wind. The reset-to-zero function on the stop-watch works just fine.

This watch carries a classic two-register chronograph dial with a 30-minute sub-dial at 3 o'clock and a constant seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. Perfect as a dress or casual watch, this luxury men's watch is about 35mm across so you can consider it unisex in size. All functions work. Dial shows a bit of patina as you can see from the photos.

Case is approx. 39mm by 42mm which means it's a nice fit without overpowering the wrist.

As you see from the pictures, there is some wear on the case and crystal but still shows nicely. A stainless steel case with the original crown.

Movement Condition: Working movement that keeps time within a minute each day. I haven't cleaned the movement or adjusted it to improve on the time. While this item is working I recommend you have your local watch dealer service the movement since I have no service records on this older watch.
